Hi
When getting the red warning: Restricted Area EDRnnn …. - and tapping on the? mark, sometime is say Active: By NOTAM.
Since there is a direct reference id to the NOTAM - then it would be great if the Notam text pops up when tapping the ? mark. Or maybe by tapping text: Active By NOTAM.
Regards Martin

Interesting idea. There could be any number of NOTAMs activating the area, from zero to many, in the system at any one time. To be clear, your idea would be for us to look through all loaded NOTAMs - or possible the ones currently active - and display them also in that popup?

Hi Tim. What I think should be showed is the actual NOTAM allocated to the popup - look at attached screenshots. Even restricted areas embedded in each other have its own unique id. Areas in Denmark.

It would also be fine if the NOTAM would pop up under the planning phase under WARNINGS when tapping the Restricted Area warning.

As far as I can tell from your screenshots, there is no NOTAM associated with that restricted area at the time you were planning. I am therefore confused about your question. All I am seeing is a restricted area that is activated by NOTAM, with no NOTAM currently activating it.

As I read the warning - if it is activated there is a Notam - if not activated there are no Notam. Look at attached picture, EDR40 is activated and in Notam. EKR39 is not in Notam and therefore not active.

Maybe SD could eliminate the warnings for restricted areas activatet by Notam if there are no Notam? I will ask Danish Naviair if that could be the rule.

We've thought about doing that, but it doesn't sit well with us. We know there is a restricted area active by NOTAM, yes, but the rest is tricky because we may not have an up-to-date NOTAM briefing in memory, which means SkyDemon cannot be certain about its status. It would be quite common for the latest NOTAM data SkyDemon has in memory to be from a few hours previously, just before you started your flight or left the house.

That's why we still show warnings for areas that are activated by NOTAMs.

Thanks Tim
I fully agree - it will not be possible to state if Notam is there or not and if it is the latest - demands 100% internet access.
If it is possible to decode the Notam and the active period is at the time I fly, then the Notam could be displayed.

Yes, so in your latest screenshot, there is indeed a NOTAM activating that piece of airspace as you can see from its border on the map. To be clear, what you're asking for is that we do something additional with that NOTAM?

Tim - for your information - this is the reply from Danish Naviair:

If the area is not actively published via NOTAM, then you can fly through the area without obtaining permission to do so.
But it is always recommended to be in contact with ATC/FIS.

NOTAMs are issued every day before the expected activity, usually during the afternoon. That is that the evening before, you should be able to count on the issued NOTAMs.
But of course you must check the NOTAM on the day before you go out to fly.
